The sushi bar at Temaki Den is a great date night experience. There is a wide variety of super fresh sushi including temaki (hand rolls), nigiri, and aburi nigiri. The variety of seasonal fish is impressive and changes each day. The drinks were great as well. The sex panther had tequila and matcha for a tart cocktail while the "mom, the meatloaf" was a very smooth old fashioned with Japanese whiskey. Check out Temaki Den next time you're looking for a fun and modern sushi date!

Walking around Denver we lucked up on a funky Japanese sushi restaurant named Temaki Den. A bit on the avant garde side, and filled with a range of interesting customers, it looked like the kind of place that attracts serious sushi enthusiasts. We were not disappointed. We sat at the sushi bar and contemplated a menu offering several choices, including vegan and vegetarian choices. A pleasant stop that I recommend to anyone that likes sushi.

Food is amazing! Fish quality is high. Everything aburi is perfection. I also love the A5 nigiri and spam. I prefer all the nigiri but my friend loves the maki rolls. One thing I find fun here, that I think is unique, is their omakase is to your preferences and fullness so it's very approachable. Service: always high standards Ambience: super cute and trendy They have a prefer good deal on happy hour as well Sake is great but a bit on the pricer side overall

The service is always amazing and I absolutely love the atmosphere. The temaki rolls are so delicious and the best in Denver. We had a guest in town and they said it was the best sushi outside of NYC that he's ever had! We have been several times and will be returning again!

the one place in denver that reminds me of home (socal) lol. the quailty is up to par with handroll resturants in LA (yunomi & kazunori) f o o d : scallop handroll (5/5) do NOT skip on ordering the scallop, especially if you like them. the quality is immaculate and the sauce is super good. (i order like 4) salmon handroll (4/5) includes a yuzu like sauce for that lemon zesty flavor to the tender salmon. super yummy! unagi handroll (4/5) had a nice smoky flavor with each bite. i would recommend for a little breathe from the raw fish. yellowtail handroll (3.5/5) decent but nothing too special. a good clean roll but i would sub for more scallop :9 matcha affogato (5/5) the vanilla scoop was delicious. they whisk your shot of matcha in-front of you and then pour it over the ice cream! its topped with these corn flakes which adds a nice texture. i would def order again! if you want a table or sushi chef bar seat, highly recommend doing a reservation ahead of time. but otherwise, they do walk-in at their bar seating! restroom is nice a clean and parking is paid. i believe the first 1 hour is free in the garage. I will def be back!

The only place this weekend I'm giving 5 stars. We did their omakase and not only want it AMAZING it was super affordable. I am very very impressed and will not stop raving about this food. The service was top tier with the staff explaining all the dishes well and guiding us through the omakase. I'll be back to Denver just for this place. The look was cute, we sat at the sushi bar and got to watch them prepare everything which made the experience so much better.

Temaki Den is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood, and considering it's only a 5 minute walk it's a shame I don't go more often. I always start off with the Sex Panther cocktail, it's vibrantly green and refreshing. The HH handroll set is a great value, it's usually not enough to make me full so I'll add a few pieces of nigiri or some cooked items. The chawanmushi requires a bit of waiting time to cook but it's absolutely delicious and silky smooth, I highly recommend it! Reservations are pretty easy to come by but I've never had any problem walking in on a weekday and getting a seat around the bar which I actually prefer over a table anyway. If you have a larger group maybe do a reservation because they're always pretty busy.

Finally tried this place and it was worth it! We had the spinach and kabocha tempura from the kitchen. Both were great. We had the spicy negihama and aged tuna hand rolls. The aged tuna one was so buttery. The spicy negihama was normal. For nigiri we had the aburi aged tuna, aburi eel, and aburi black snapper. The aburi snapper was like butter and soft. The aburi aged tuna was my favorite bite all night and was so fatty and delicious. We also had saba oshizushi, salmon belly with creme freche, and tuna with blue cheese. The salmon belly was my favorite thing out of the three in the special nigiri section. The saba was yummy and I like this flavor of fish and no bones!! The tuna with blue cheese was really interesting. Personally think that they could have used less blue cheese and I'm not convinced that cheese and sushi go together. Maybe if they smoked the tuna like smoked salmon? We also had the Inari off the basic nigiri section. They filled the tofu skin well and I liked how big the skin was. Off the daily specials we had the Australian wagyu and the madai. I loved the way they prepared the madai with the yuzu. The wagyu was great but I had a small fatty part that I couldn't chew. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. One of the best crème brûlée I've had. So silky and not too sweet inside and the shell was perfect. We wanted to try the sorbet but they were sold out. For drinks we had hot tea, the best of sake flight, the a5 washed cocktail, the sex panther cocktail, the Yamazaki 12 whiskey, and the nikka Miyagikyo whiskey. The tea was great and huge, the best of sake flight went great with the fish. Especially the third sake on the list complimented the food best in my opinion. And out of the three whiskeys the nikka miyagikyo which I hadn't tried before was a nice whiskey. The yamazaki whiskeys are my favorite but I was pleasantly surprised by the nikka. The sex panther cocktail complimented dessert really well and since it's a sweeter drink in comparison to whiskey or sake so I don't think it would really go with the food. But with dessert and for sipping at the end of the night it was perfect! The service was slow in the beginning and I found myself wondering when the server was coming back but once when we got to ordering everything he was more consistent. We sat at the bar seats and they were comfortable for the two hours. Since we sat at the bar we got a salmon dish in the beginning that was really yummy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. It felt authentic but with a a couple twists which I enjoyed.

Holy tuna cow. The omakase is well worth the splurge. Every single bite was flawless. The Food: -Kaarage - Juicy in the middle and delicately crispy on the outside. Small serving. -Kabocha tempura - Fried well. Comes with two half rings. -10-round omakase - So fresh. Most of the options tasted good on its own without soy sauce. Cannot remember all the names, so just mentioning a couple that I want to come back for. Mackerel - Flavorful! It's mackerel season so it's going to get better and better as the winter season goes on. Aged toro - Rich and fatty. A delight. Salmon belly - Hard to go wrong with salmon. Both uni bites - The uni was so creamy and almost lightly salty sweet. Not fishy or gooey at all. Sake - Nice sake selection but we went with our usual Junmai Ginjo. The Ambiance: Casual nice. The Service: Staff knows their stuff in terms of food. Not Michelin-star attentiveness and detail but I'd say, good service. The Price: The quality is there for the price, in my opinion. Sushi is on par with major foodie cities.
